Andy Roth is helping customers of the Durham startup RocketBolt turn leads into sales as head of customer success, but he used to be a professional actor. And lessons from the latter have helped him pitch the startup and turn its own potential leads into customers. 

Roth stopped by American Underground in August to share his story (which also includes a law degree from Duke Law School) and give some helpful tips on creating and delivering the most effective pitch.

Watch below for the worst pitch Roth's ever heard (hint: at a local Startup Weekend), the biggest no-no for starting a pitch, some lessons on breathing (nerves will kill you during a pitch!) and his best tips for getting out of the way so your story and company can shine in front of whatever audience you wish to impress.
